Change in resignation period

Good afternoon, my partners would like to change the resignation period for "key personnel" within our firm. (At this stage no staff has been officially identified as "key personnel".

I have recommended the following;-
a) Key Personnel must be identified and it must be stipulated in our resignation policy. This must also be disclosed during the interview process.
b) Resignation policy should be amended to include new notice period e.g. key personnel as identified by the employer must give 2 Calendar month's notice. The policy should stipulate that these amendments are only applicable to employees who joined the firm after the implementation date of the amended policy.
c) Should they want to change the notice period of existing employees, now identified as key personnel, they have to consult and a new contract or addendum to the contract should be signed.

Could you please advise-
Are the above recommendations lawful.

If not, which procedures should be followed?
