Good day

I have a employee who was not directly involved with theft, but had knowledge that it had happend. The employee who commited the theft is now gone however I do feel that the employee who knew about it should have a consequence yet I don't necessarily want to get rid of him. what sort of warning is called for?

Your disciplinary code/code of conduct should be your guide but absent any code, issue a warning that corresponds to the severity of the misconduct. Be sure to act consistently.
