Request for representation

Unread post by CT_84 » 11 Sep 2017, 10:23

I am currently facing a disciplinary inquiry. Last week I sent a letter to the external chairperson requesting representation from an external lay person.

My employer then sent a letter as well stating why this should not be allowed. In the letter to the chairperson, they have included the charges and details of the case against me.

Is this allowed?

Yes, it is allowed. The chairperson must consider the nature, seriousness and complexity of the charges in determining whether or not to allow you external representation.
