Employee Injury

Unread post by Mc Safe » 09 Jul 2015, 08:19

Hi there.

May an employee claim for I.O.D if he was stabbed and wounded by another employee on the company premises.

My thinking is no, as I.O.D covers your during your normal scope of work, fighting is not in their scope of work?

Am I correct?

Thank you.

You are correct but rather report the IOD and let the Commission decide. They may well reject the claim for the reasons you stated, but at least you did what was expected of the company in terms of legislation.
