Regulations regarding offices

Unread post by Sunbirdkim » 03 Apr 2018, 16:14

Hello,
Please can someone tell me what are the regulations for offices. Meaning does an office have to have a window, and a window that opens. Will a ceiling fan be good enough? What are the other regulations regarding the creation of an office
Thanks

Hi

The building should comply with the building regulations SANS 10400, your architect, and civil engineer should provide you with more information.

If you comply with the building regulations you will also find that your hygiene survey will pass successfully, this includes; lux requirements, in door air quality, and ventilation.

You might also want to look at the facilities regulations of 1990. and Environmental regulations of 1987.
