What type of IOD is classified as a recordable IOD and what is classified as a Non recordable IOD.

When it requires more medical treatment than first aid, it would be a reportable IOD (claim needs to be logged).

OHS Act:

The employer or user should keep record of all section 24 incidents in the form of the prescribed ‘‘Annexure 1’’ form and any other incident where medical treatment other than first aid is involved (including occupational diseases). These records need to be kept for a period of at least three years.
