Appointment Arrangement - Foreign Group CEO

Unread post by Robert B » 19 Dec 2017, 08:59

Good morning

Our CEO is a French citizen living in France. Our company has a GM and our partner company in which we have shares, also has a GM/owner, and the same GM/owner has shares in our company. The question being, my reasoning would be to appoint each GM as the 16.1, leaving the French CEO out of the appointments structure, and then continuing with each business as a separate legal entity, with its individual 16.1 appointing his 16.2, and then the standard structure there from onward.

Would this be correct?

Regards

Robert

Hi Robert

Normally the laws of the country would apply.

Firestone for example is an international organisation but in South Africa we would have Firestone South Africa.

Normally a person would be appointed as Manager over the SA branch and that person would be responsible for health and safety in South Africa.

"my reasoning would be to appoint each GM as the 16.1" - would thus be correct.

Safety greetings
