OHASA implemented

Unread post by ESG1987 » 29 Nov 2017, 04:25

Hi there,

I suffered an injury on duty a few months ago. At the time I filed a report (at least what I thought would be relevant). Recently a friend asked me if I could give her any info on sick leave and as usual referred her to your website. While browsing I started looking into the IOD and health and safety act. I have a suspicion that our company is not compliant or has a proper system implemented, which is a bit of a concern since were a surgical device company with reps working in hospital theatres every day.
When I originally inquired about the reporting procedure for IOD’s I was told to create my own report and just send it to our HR/Admin/Finance manager. How do I know if our company is indeed compliant and what is the correct protocol when an IOD occurs. And if not, what do I do?
