Hi Tinus
When an employee has arrived a work early and trips over a brick and injures themselves is this IOD or only after they are clocked in.
When an employee is leaving the premises, has clocked out but slips in the car park and is injured, would this be an IOD.

The Compensation Fund became very lenient towards accidents on the premises of the employer.

It would be advisable to submit the claim and let the Compensation Fund make the ruling on the claim.

Good day
My name is Khethiwe Sibiya mother of Zandy Dlamini who is a daughter of the late Vincent Dlamini who was a police and died in year 2008 while he was on duty. We have submitted the claim at Dept of labour in R/bay and when I check the status of the claim it says it is accepted.

This claim is long time overdue and I always check with the labour Dept but they always said we must wait since 2010. I tried to call at Pretoria bt did not get a response, the phone only rings and no reply. Please help we are very desperate and worried. Claim no: A8D05961
Thanking you in advance
