Good Morning
Is it allowed to appoint more two people to be GMR2. 1 on the same site, (like GMR 2.1for Electrical & GMR 2.1 Mechanical)

Yes, you may have more than on GMR 2(1) appointee for a site (just clarify the different responsibilities of the appointed persons in their appointment letters).

Alternatively, the one person (with the highest qualification & most experience) could be appointed as the GMR 2(1) and the other person as his/ her assistant GMR 2(7).

What does a company do when they have no-one qualified take up the GMR Appointment? Do they then need to get someone trained or appoint someone or can they appoint an engineering company?

This is a compulsary legal appointment with defined qwalifications & experience.

The comany would need to get and appoint a competent person.

We have different farms(10+) in the Cape which are as far as 200km apart. We use more than 20MVA and 11MVA on average 30 minutes accross all the farms. Can my manager appoint me as GMR 2(1) and list all the farms or I just need to be appointed for one farm only
